Hello,
My name is Adrienne Ackermann and I am training for a half marathon with Team in Training (TNT) to raise money for blood cancer research.
Team in Training is a fund raising project organized by the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society of Canada. Their mission is as follows:
“Cure leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin’s disease and myeloma, and improve the quality of life of patients and their families. LLSC funds lifesaving blood cancer research across Canada and provides free information and support services.”
Leukemia is the most common cancer diagnosed in children. These kids are running the ultimate marathon in fighting their illness. Unfortunately we can’t help them with the bulk of their fight, we can’t take their illness from them or endure the treatments for them; but we can help find a cure. Research is the foundation of medicine; without research medicine simply can’t progress. Medical research is largely driven by donations, by people like you. Help these kids, and all those affected by blood cancer, win their race against cancer.
